Tanjung Benoa Beach

General Information

In Nusa Dua area, there is one specific beach which is very popular because of the water sport activities. One of the reason is because the government of Bali Province has finally established Tanjung Benoa Beach as Marine Sport Center. Probably because of the surrounding of the beach which as a calm wave and perfectly beautiful white sand.

Activities

Water Activities

Mainly sport activities including parasailing, banana boat, glass-bottom boat, jet ski, water ski, flying fish, sea walker, scuba diving, wake boarding, kite surfing, parasailing, etc. Normal water activities such as swimming also possible because the waves are way calmer in the surrounding compared with other beaches exist in Bali. But be cautious because some area is limited for swimming which there are marker buoys along the southern section.

Beach Activities

For activities in the beach, sunbathing and also several beach games such as volley beach game. Another activities for an example is just taking a stroll along the beach area. It is because there are some beach-front luxury accommodations along the main road with restaurants, café, minimart, and spa.

Location

First of all, immediately north of the Nusa Dua enclave is the peninsula of Tanjung Benoa. That is where the Tanjung Benoa Beach exactly is along with Tanjung Benoa Port.

Access

Since there is a permit for utilizing Tanjung Benoa Bay area, the once Tanjung Benoa Port which is only yachts and small ship became the Benoa Cruise International Terminal’s turnaround port in December 2012. On that term, it is no longer serving only yachts and small ships, but also small plane or cruise ship. So, it will also serve as both embarkation and debarkation point for cruise passengers. Tanjung Benoa Port has became a turnaround port where tourists can arrive or leave Tanjung Benoa Port by either plane or cruise ship.
