As also with other general beach in Bali, Balian Beach is also a great spot for surfing. Especially for surfers which is still performing intermediate surfing. In this case, an intermediate surfer is a surfer who has already mastered the basics of paddling, popping up, and riding cleanly across the open face of a wave. It is quite often that they only move from from beginner boards and waves so generally, these intermediate surfers feel they are ready for advanced surf. Truthfully, that is not always the case. So, Balian Beach is quite perfect for those who are in the category of intermediate surfer. Visually, it’s like Pasut Beach except without the dirt biking, so it’s quieter even though it has more restaurants and hotels. Compared to the touristy areas in south Bali, this beach is much quieter and less busy.

Balian Beach is a beach located on the west coast of the island of Bali, Indonesia. It is situated in the Regency of Tabanan, about 80 kilometers (50 miles) from the capital city of Denpasar. It is also a popular surfing spot, with consistent waves and good conditions for both beginner and experienced surfers. The beach is accessible by road from Denpasar and other nearby towns and villages.
