Canggu Beach
General Information
Another famous beach for surfing. One of the reason is among Bali’s numerous beaches, Canggu Beach was recently chosen for that category. It is in the list among CNN’s “World’s 100 Best Beaches” in position no 39. Becoming one of the beach exist in the list for World’s 100 Best Beaches is none other of the advantage of this beach is because it is world-famous for its magnificent surf. More over, in 2004 Canggu Beach hosted the Indonesia Surfing Championship (ISC). It is chosen as the host for its barrelling waves as well as the beauty of its shores.
Additionally, the beaches have dark grey or black sand and are not particularly good for swimming. On the other hand, as it mentioned before, it is a special spot offering some renowned and challenging surfing experience. Below is display of the image of the Canggu Beach :
Sand Color
Most people say it black, but at the image as exist above, it more like to be a dark grey.
Furthermore, in Canggu area, beside Canggu Beach, there is another beach which is also popular for surfing. Those beaches are the Echo Beach with a world class wave and Batu Bolong Beach which is also known as Old Man Beach which is the ideal spot for beginners, longboards and funboards. Obviously, surfing since Canggu Beach is very popular as a surf spot. But swimming seems does not a recommendation.
Location
Canggu Beach is North of Seminyak. Located in the village of Canggu in North Kuta, District of Badung, quite close to Legian beach.
