General Information

This is another famous and popular beach in Bali. Precisely, it is a beach exist in with the name of Padang Padang Beach. There is actually another name for this beach. It is also known with the name of Pantai Labuan Sait. Furthermore, this beach is very famous for its surf spot. That is why this beach holds a regular event for international surfing competition because of those famous surf spot. The most frequent international surfing competition which is very well-known is the Rip Curl Cup Padang Padang.

Another thing which is very important regarding Padang Padang Beach is because of it has made into big scene. Specifically, it is included as a shot which is featuring a romantic setting of an adaption of a movie with the title of ‘Eat, Pray, Love’ in 2010. The movie itself is very popular which is directed based on best-selling memoir also with the same title. Since the movie is very popular as an American biographical romantic comedy-drama starring Julia Roberts as Elizabeth Gilbert, the main character on the Gilbert’s memoir, this beach also become popular.

The location of Padang Padang beach is in Bukit Peninsula in Bali, Indonesia. Below is the location of the beach in the map :

Access

In order to access the beach, just get into the end of the Uluwatu Highway Street, exactly in the right side of the entry gate to Uluwate Template where it eixist in north. So, from the main highway, just get into the parking area. From the parking area just go through down the hill, passing along several handy crafts vendor, kiosks, stalls. Soon, after arriving in rock crevice with hard cement ladder, it will lead the path to the section of the protected by giant cliffs. From below this rock crevice, the road to reach the beach area will splits into two lanes. Just take to the left path through the coral alley, it will lead to an open beach area.
